How trips are ranked

Each course is scored on the share of your trip spent at the destination after round-trip flights and airport time, how good the chosen month is for weather and crowds, and how close your trip length is to the course's natural length.

Facts and sources

Opening hours, prices and booking rules are shown with a link to their source and the date they were last checked. Anything not checked for more than 60 days is flagged as possibly out of date. Always confirm with the official source before you go.

Photos

Photos come only from our own camera, Wikimedia Commons, Unsplash, Pexels, tourism-board media libraries and partners' product photos. Each one shows its author, source and licence. Where no photo is available yet, an original illustration is shown instead.

First-hand tips

Tips marked “From my visit” are only shown for places the author has been to, with the visit date. Everything else is researched, not first-hand.
